Huh? But you're a woman. Do the French not like to hug?

I'm so confused!!

:)
We're not used to hug in France, because we kiss to say hello. When you are a man, you have the choice : strong shake hands or kisses... but take care, only with very close friends !!

Hugs are for rare occasions, when two people are close and intimates ! So, for me, it's not open... but, fortunately, Beau has started to teach me some lessons ;)
Interesting, hard to imagine even close male friends kissing in greeting. It's so rare to kiss in greeting over here, that when anyone does kiss my cheek, man or woman, it's always a surprise and awkward, often a little spitty. Actually, I'm not that fond of hugging either (for acquaintances). But that's not my culture, just my inhibition :/ Hand shakes are lovely :)

See you

M'enfin ?!!
Thanks for sharing your experience of it with me :)

... may I ask you what does "spitty" mean ? I can't find it ;)
